Q:  How long have you been teaching?

A:  I’ve been teaching for 22 years. 

      

Q:  What ages of children do you teach? 

A:  Ages 7 and above.

Q:  How long is each lesson?

A:  Options are 30, 45, or 60 minutes. 

      I strongly suggest 30 minutes

      as a starting point.

Q:  What kind of music do you teach?

A:  I teach nearly all genres of music

      but include a focus on classical

      training to ensure good progress.

      

Q:  What is your philosophy of teaching?

A:  Students will progress far more quickly

      in an atmosphere of discovery and

      exploration, rather than rote learning.

      While there is no avoiding the basics

      I focus on showing your child

      how to practice between lessons.

      Mainly, the teaching needs to be

      customized for each student

      based on mutual discovery.

 

Q: What will my child need to start? 

A:  A violin in good working order,

      a violin case, music stand,

      violin rosin, bow, and a few

      study books that I'll suggest

      during your free consultation.

Q:  What are your rates,

      do you give virtual lessons,

      and what are payment options?

A:  I offer in-person and virtual.

      My current rates are:

     30 min. - $35

     45 min -  $50

     60 min -  $60 

      Lessons are weekly

      and billed a month in advance.

      I accept cash, checks, credit cards

      and PayPal.
