I teach from my home studio in Middletown, and can also provide in-home tutoring if scheduling permits.

About me:

I've been teaching children and adults the violin for twenty-five years. My students have ranged in age from seven to eighty-five. Its never too late to learn to play the violin! 

​

I began studying the violin with Carol Berkle, formerly of the Hartford Symphony, and played in several pit orchestras for musical productions in high school and college. I resumed my studies as an adult, studying with Dr. Joseph Ceo, noted violist, and Paulinka DeRochemont.

​

In 2007, I co-founded the Sukada String Trio which played at various wedding venues in and around Newport, Rhode Island. I currently continue to enjoy teaching both adults and younger folks in my home studio in Middletown, RI. 

​

I offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons for in my Middletown studio or in-your-home. I use a variety of time-tested materials, and structure the lessons based on your goals and musical preferences.

​

Over the years, I've found that the longer a student studies with me, the more I learn about their cognitive style. This allows me to structure lessons in a way that focuses on developing an effective teaching strategy that includes the requirements I learned from classical training but allows you to play nearly all types of music.
